First, we want everyone to know that Westhaven Inc. continues to provide installation services during this challenging time, as we have been identified by most local governments as an “Essential Service”, designated as those companies that are maintaining the safety and essential operation of customer residences by providing electricity.

As businesses across industries adjust to the impact of COVID-19 (also known as coronavirus), Westhaven has taken steps to protect the health and well-being of our team. We remain focused on providing contactless engineering and design services for solar and energy storage projects, as we always have.

Our business continues to be operational and service our customers as best we can online. While working away from the office, our energy specialists have all the tools and capabilities to deliver sales proposals, permit-ready designs, project development services, technical consulting, and more.

We want to make sure you have your backup power, solar, battery storage, and generator. Our experienced team is on standby to keep your project planning on track, and home prepared for mandatory and unexpected power shutdowns, as well as the upcoming wildfire season.

During this time, we offer a free home energy risk assessment on how we can help optimize your home energy efficiency and protect your family during this pandemic. Click below to see if your home is at risk. It's free, virtual and only 10-minutes.

Committed to reducing the risk of COVID-19 while still enabling people to go solar, we believe that this helps provide certainty and safety for families during this uncertain time. We are working to ensure that our workforce is following the latest recommendations from public health authorities.

Contactless Solar

Going solar with Westhaven Inc. involves much less contact and time than you might think, and much of our work from surveying rooftops to permitting and installation, happens behind the scenes.  Westhaven has also invested in technology to limit person-to-person contact. Below are some of the tools we already use:

Phone and Video Sales Consultations:

While we expect most customers to still prefer in-home consultations, our field sales force can conduct virtual home consultations for customers utilizing video-conferencing technology and Docusign electronic signature tools. Should you prefer these options, please let us know.

Technology-Assisted Installation

Similar to our solar consultations, we have invested in technology to streamline our installation processes, including online permitting and interconnection in many locations, as well as utilizing digital tools to complete rooftop surveys where possible. These allow us to keep your project moving without needing regular in-person meetings and reviews. Just let us know your needs and we'll take care of the rest, managing everything for you in the background as appropriate.

COVID-19 is a new and unique challenge, and we’re constantly evaluating best practices for our customers and employees.

We’re following public health guidelines and other best practices recommended by top medical experts around the country.

Here are some of the precautions we are committing to:

  • Ensuring our employees are healthy and not coming to work if they are sick.
  • Training employees to follow best practices from public health and government authorities to reduce the risk of potential exposure, including guidelines on handwashing, device (i.e., iPad) cleaning & sanitation, social distancing, and understanding and recognizing signs of symptoms.
  • Securing our workspaces. This includes increasing the frequency of vehicle and office cleaning and sanitizing, and following the best practice recommendations provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization.
  • Suspending all non-critical business travel.
  • Monitoring the situation. Executives are proactively taking steps to ensure that customers and employees as safe as much as possible.

What we’re asking of you

We are also asking our customers to support us in preventing transmission. If you are ill or have recently traveled to severely impacted areas, we will happily accommodate you in transitioning your sales consultation to occur virtually, or rescheduling an installation or site visit when necessary.

During these difficult and uncertain times, we are reminded of how important it is to take the steps necessary to safeguard ourselves and our families. Going solar provides more energy security and gives us peace of mind for the future. We look forward to guiding you through this process.
